The PHP Developer will participate in development efforts on projects for external clients. He or she will work with the account team, interaction designers, and graphic designers to design and build interactive solutions for clients. He or she will be responsible for working on the software design as well as building, testing, debugging and troubleshooting programs and scripts for various functions, and modifying existing code to add new features.

Requirements/Qualifications:
* 5+ years of development experience
* The ideal candidate should have experience creating highly trafficked websites

Drupal 6.16 and 5.22, maintenance releases which fix issues reported through the bug tracking system, as well as security vulnerabilities, are now available for download. Drupal 6.16 also fixes other smaller issues.

Upgrading your existing Drupal 5 and 6 sites is strongly recommended. There are no new features in these releases. For more information about the Drupal 6.x release series, consult the Drupal 6.0 release announcement, more information on the 5.x releases can be found in the Drupal 5.0 release announcement. Drupal 5 will no longer be maintained when Drupal 7 is released. Upgrading to Drupal 6 is recommended.

PIRETS is a Drupal module which which connects to real estate listing (MLS) providers using the RETS (Real Estate Transaction Standard) protocol and imports listings as Drupal nodes.

PIRETS has been in development off and on for a few years here at Precision Intermedia; hence why the current version is PIRETS 3.0 (PIRETS 1.0 was actually a stand-alone PHP application, written before we had submitted ourselves to the majesty of Drupal). We're finally ready to release our work to the public. In addition, we've also set up a "community site" at PIRETS.info with documentation, a discussion forum, etc. We also plan to showcase cool PIRETS-using Drupal sites - once they go live…

I'm more than a little biased, but I'm sure PIRETS is far beyond any previous RETS/MLS module for Drupal written previously, and is possibly the best in its kind of all open source-dom. If you have any interest in building real estate sites with Drupal, give PIRETS a look.

This is the first guide for drupal in Arabic, we work at it for more than 3 month as a group of young people.
Before working on this project we take a look at drupal as a wonderful cms, then we decide to learn more about it. We found after a weeks of research that there is a few of Arabic drupal users, we think that the languages was the wall prevent them to learn drupal. So we start building this guide.
This guide cover the basics things in drupal, it consists of eight chapters
1-Introduction: talking about the web, cms, php, mysql, server, and give a tiny declaration about drupal, joomla and wordpress.
2-In chapter two we talk about drupal history. How does drupal work, positive and negative of drupal, and some faq about drupal license.
3-In the chapter three, we talk some deep about drupal, how to install it depending version 5 and 6. what is modules, themes, blocks, menu and node.
4-Chapter four is about the core module of drupal, we talk about configuration and how to use these modules.
5-In chapter five to talk about contributed modules(cck – views – panels – image – imagecache – lightbox2 – imce - fckeditor)
6-Chapter six is about update drupal
7-Chapter seven about migration, steps to do before migration, and how to migrate from joomla, woordpress and phpbb to drupal.

Drupal 7 is moving along nicely, and is becoming increasingly stable. We just released a second alpha release, fixing a number of critical bugs, following our initial alpha release in January. Alpha releases are to give Drupalistas something to download and test, so they can report and help fix bugs.

When will we switch to betas? We will switch to betas when the upgrade path from Drupal 6 to Drupal 7 is working. Once we hit beta, we will become increasingly strict about accepting any more changes and we'll also commit to making HEAD to HEAD upgrades work.

Finally, we'll start rolling release candidates once the number of critical bugs is zero (or close to zero). To help us focus on critical bugs, we're working on adding a 'major' severity level to our ticketing system, making the options 'critical', 'major', 'normal' and 'minor'. 'Major' bugs would be really bad, but not necessarily block a release. For example, bugs that don't prevent Drupal from working, or that only affect a fraction of the Drupal population would be prioritized for fixing in follow-up releases. Critical bugs are those that badly break Drupal, or that are a major regression compared to Drupal 6.
